Womens Technique |
 |
- Posture and walking : In this class we are going to see what is the most efficient posture to dance tango. I call it the "active position". Then we are going to work on the walk according to this posture and how to use the legs and feet in order to be both active and elegant while walking.
- Dissociation : working with the upper body. Dissociation is a wonderful tool that we use to dance tango, which make having the upper body in one direction and the lower part in an other (like the old Egyptian drawing). In tango we use it in order to keep the connection to the partner through a circular embrace. So we are going to see how it works and how to do it well in order to be permanently connected to the partner and still very flexible and relax in the upper body.
- Pivot : working with the standing leg. To activate or not your standing leg will make you dance either passive or active. In this class, we will see how to activate it in order to be able to react to the leading of our partner and to be an active dancer. |

Leaders technique |
 |
Daniel Carlson is well regarded for really seeing the students, for a hands-on approach and for recognising patterns and tensions on an individual level and in an efficient way proposing solutions.
The technique classes will give leaders a clearer lead, smart use of the body and the movement energy, a better balance and a good posture. |

Leader and follower |
 |
To improve the connexion to the partner, the fluidity of the movements, the stability, and the musicality, we will open “Sigrid’s and Daniel’s toolbox” for you and select the 3 most important tools to improve the dancing.
- The curves in the walking
- Changing the contact in the embrace
- Present and future
An idea for these classes is to combine them with the individual classes of follower's and leader's technique but can also be taken apart. |
